iPhone Flaw Lets Hackers Take Over
The researchers, working for Independent Security Evaluators, a company that tests its clients’ computer security by hacking it, said that they could take control of iPhones through a Wi-Fi connection or by tricking users into going to a Web site that contains malicious code. The hack, the first reported, allowed them to tap the wealth of personal information the phones contain. Read more

Lawsuit Seeks to Shut Down Facebook
The lawsuit’s allegations against Zuckerberg include fraud, copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets. It asks the court to shut down Facebook and give control of the company and its assets to ConnectU’s founders. A hearing on a motion to dismiss the lawsuit is scheduled for Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Boston.  Read more

The new information was first revealed by U.S. state authorities after MySpace turned over information on convicted sex offenders it had removed from the service. “The exploding epidemic of sex offender profiles on MySpace — 29,000 and counting — screams for action,” Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said in a statement.
